OncoRes Medical Receives $150,000 Funding Boost from Western Australian Government
Innovation and ICT Minister Dave Kelly today announced the McGowan Government will invest $150,000 in funding from the New Industries Fund into Western Australian-based medical device start-up OncoRes Medical to enhance R&D capability and create local jobs at their Nedlands-based facility.

Perth-based medtech company, OncoRes Medical, has taken out the IGNITE Madness pitch competition in Houston, Texas, USA. In addition to the US$10,000 first prize, OncoRes Medical was awarded the prestigious Texas Medical Centre Ventures investment prize which is valued in excess of US$100,000.

Award of BioMedTech Horizons Grant:
Together with Federal Minister for Health The Hon Greg Hunt MP, we are very excited to announce the OncoRes Medical has been awarded $1 million funding as part of the Australian Government’s Medical Research Future Fund BioMedTech Horizons program, following a competitive application process. OncoRes Medical will be utilising the funds to develop a compact wireless technology for improved accuracy during breast conserving surgery.

Cancer Research: Diagnostic Accuracy of Quantitative Micro-Elastography for Margin Assessment in Breast-Conserving Surgery.
The OncoRes Medical research team have completed an accuracy study of QME demonstrating high accuracy of the technology for use in margin detection for excised tumor samples during BCS surgery.
